Cloud hosting estimate for NodeJS & MongoDB app
I'm trying to come up with the estimated cost to host a desktop/mobile app with around 10,000 registered users. The app itself is not cpu intensive as it will mainly be used to serve media files like video and audio. Users will have a bit of data associated with them that will be used for analytics and reports by other users.
Based on absolutely nothing I estimate between 5-25% of users will be active at any time making maybe 5-10 requests per hour. My plan was to use Heroku with MongoLab as a provider.
I'm really just looking to come up with a ballpark monthly figure. Any help would be awesome 🙂
